Putt Putt, Airplanes and Expos... and don't forget the ice cream

Well, we made it to play mini golf. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived. We let the boys choose the course, and of course they went with the one with the most number of holes. I don't think I've ever played a 27 hole course. It was fun - creepy spider hole and all. I even managed to get a few hole-in-ones, but didn't manage to beat Daniel, Noreen or Amanda. As we were playing, temps warmed considerably, and we watched several tanker planes flying over low, presumably taking water to the fires just to the southwest.

We headed back to the cabin. We had decided to make our meal, and had an awesome lunch of tacos and quesadillas. It was so nice to work together in the kitchen and sit down to eat as a team. Plus - the food was delicious.

All too soon it was time to clean up, change clothes and rush back over to the expo. It was supposed to be a relatively easy evening - from 5-8 PM. We arrived a little early, and after some miscommunication about who was supposed to be where doing what, we settled right into our routine of handing out bibs and answering a million questions. Michelle and her daughter Sammie joined us soon after we got there. More hugs, smiles and catching up. It was so nice to have most of us back together in one place. We were missing our teammates who couldn't be there though.
The hotel crew brought in more pizza and before we knew it, expo hours were over and it was time to go back to the cabin and get some sleep. We were all tired and a little frazzled from the craziness of the expo circus, so there wasn't much discussion as everyone settled in for the evening.

Off to get some rest and prepare for another long, crazy day of expo tomorrow. Good night from Tahoe!
